Scientist in the School visit

Take a look at some of the things we did at school when Scientist Lesley visited. We learned all about the five senses.
We talked about the sense of sight and learned about braille.

We made 3-D glasses.

We used our sense of touch to find out what object we were touching in the box while our eyes were shut.

We used our sense of touch to feel what was in the bag and use the pictures to figure out which object it was.

We used our sense of touch to learn new words to describe how things feel.

We used our sense of hearing to shake the tubes and guess what sounds we were hearing.

Learning about sound.

These bags have different materials that children can discover their senses with. For example in the Smell bag you could have different things that smell such as; a flower, a bag of coffee and while children have their eyes closed you can ask them to tell you what they smell.
