Hello Room Three

April 30th, 2012

Dear Room Three,

I hope you are all doing well. It is Autumn here now and all the leaves are starting to change colours, it is very beautiful. It reminds me a lot of home around Halloween time.  My parents came to visit and we had a really great time traveling around. I missed them so much after they left.

Our Kindy had a renovation, we now have beautiful washrooms. We are going to be learning all about under the sea. The children are really interested in things they have found at the beach such as star fish and shells. We were talking about things that live in the sea and will be making some sea animals out of recycled materials this week.  It is interesting to learn about  sea animals they have in Australia. They  have some of the most beautiful fish at the Great Barrier Reef.

I miss you and hope you are all doing well. Mrs. Dutton showed me some pictures of the classroom and I could see some of things you are doing. It all looks fantastic. I hope you enjoyed the pictures I sent of the Kindy. We will send you more I promise. Please write me or post notes on the blog.

I wanted to share some photographs from my trip with my parents. Enjoy!

Love,
Ms. Leventhal

 Giraffes at the Sydney Zoo.
This is a model of a little Penguin which we saw on Philip Island. You are not allowed to take pictures of them as the flash hurts their eyes. We saw all the little penguins come to shore at sunset and go to their homes. They were so cute. There were hundreds of them.

Me and my mom on a tree top walk in the rainforest. We were almost at the top of the trees, it was an amazing view.

We went strawberry picking, I found these tiny ones. they were delicious.
This is my stuffed toy he is a wombat. Each teacher who came to Australia got one, we are suppost to take him traveling with us and get photos of him. This is my wombat crossing the road in the Flinders Ranges.

Hello Room Three

Dear Room Three,
I hope you are enjoying your March break and are spending lots of time with your family and friends. I miss you very much and enjoy hearing from Mrs. Meredith that you are all doing very well. This past weekend we went on a really exciting trip to Kangaroo Island I got to see some of the most beautiful wildlife I have every seen. We saw seals soaking up the sun on the rocks and surfing in the waves. We saw so many kangaroos and koalas. My favourite was the white kangaroos, they reminded me of Crouton who I miss very much. I am so glad that Mrs. Meredith got the letter from our Kindy, I hope you got to see all the beautiful pictures the children created. There is also a picture of the other Kindy teachers and children. They enjoy hearing all about Canada and they really liked learning all about winter.

I wanted to share some photos with you.

I hope to hear from you soon.
Love Ms. Leventhal

At KIndy we have a very cute little pet a hoping mouse.

One of the children at Kindy has baby chickens, his mum brought them into Kindy so we could learn all about chicks.

Greetings from Adelaide

Dear Room Three,
I am writing you from my new home in Adelaide Australia. Last week me and Evan went with Mrs. Meredith's daughter Isabella to Cleland Wildlife Park. We saw the cute koala in the picture. His name is Rusty. He loves to eat leaves.  We also met many cute kangaroo's and I got to feed and pet them. They are really friendly and soft. The weather is very nice and warm here as it is summer time. Is there lots of snow in Toronto? I heard that you have a Chinese food restaurant in the classroom, I wish I could come try some of your food. I went to my new Kindergarten to visit today and met Helen who is the other teacher. She was so nice and showed me around. They have a vegetable garden and they are growing pumpkins. How are all the plants in the class? I really miss you all and look forward to hearing all about the fun things you are doing. I will send you more pictures soon.
Love,
Ms. Leventhal
